Settlements

Speaking in Montreal, David Shulman, an Israeli activist, described the luxurious, yet windowless, houses of the illegal Jewish hilltop settlement near the Palestinian village of Sousia, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

The armed settlers descend from their colonies on the hill tops on the Palestinian farmers of Sousia day in and day out, damaging their crops and orchards and denying them access to their own land and wells.

Settlements

Mansions without windows

Perfumes without scent

Concerts without music

Angels without wings

Harvest without crops

Corpses in the wells

Shackles in the courtyard

in the south Hebron hills

Children losing innocence

a paradise in Hell

Hatred is blossoming

in the south Hebron hills

Abraham is dying

Bloodstains on the claim

Ishmael is hunted

Sarah hides her shame

Isaac on the hilltop

machinegun in hand

Cain is killing Abel

for a grain of sand

Over and over

in the south Hebron hills
