Susan Dubrofsky is a Montrealer with a long background in painting, theatre decor and in teaching art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

These Art Books are one type of sculptural fabrication Susan likes to create. They are actual books that have been glued, page by page, then painted with acrylics and adorned. The majority of these adornments, beads, feathers, rattan and wood, are recycled/found items. One small point, the artist found that the Readers Digest Condensed Hardcover Books were the worst ones to use as they fell apart during the glueing. Susan advises anyone to reconsider their purchase.
