First in the Lebanon and now 5 years in Canada, Youssef Loubani has lived his life time as a refugee, a life he describes as “in limbo”. He is a member of The Coalition Against the Deportation of Palestinian Refugees and also Solidarity Across Borders. This July Youssef walked with SAB from Montreal to Parliament Hill so that no one should be illegal. Inspite of wide public support, no one from the Canadian government was there to meet them let alone greet them. Youssef is currently undergoing Pre-Risk Removal Assessment and understands that 99% of such cases are deported.
