Dissapating Veils

forboding consequence creeps stealthfully
into the unexplored depths of the inner psyche
leading justification along an unfamiliar path
towards reunification of goals and newfound resolve
place your shaking hand in mine
close blind eyes and forget
the failing shell which I inhabit
realizing that the soul is stronger
as the mind controls the body
the heart and soul dominate the mind
even as melody is defined by living
and harmony develops along naturally
love and hope remain constant and strong
looking ahead and back to dreams come and gone
history has a tendency to skip, repeating
revealing truths unknown or unwanted
ourselves erecting veils of illusion to distract
our ability to also remove those veils
dissipating from ourselves and from others
allow us to see life for what it really is
