Artist’s statement:

The singular mixture of my cultural backgrounds: Peruvian, Chinese and Canadian, and my own personal story in each of these cultures have created a unique cycle of memories and experience that has provided the context and inspiration for my works.

In my recent graphic works, there is a change since I moved to the city of Montreal in 2004; animals have been present in the majority of my images. Montreal’s beloved mountain Mont-Royal served as the motif and the inspiration for my creativity. Red coloured dogs and cats became the main figure in each of my compositions.
